// Camel Time in the Sahara Desert! Morocco 2012//
Turns out these crazy creatures are crazy uncomfortable to ride. 2 hours on a camel equates to a sore groin and a bruised pelvis bone, however still totally worth the experience. After riding these guys into the desert we camped out in tents for the night, I was dealing with a bout of food poisoning so my night wasn’t exactly what I expected it to be but waking up in the morning and seeing the sun peaking over the sand dunes was breathtaking. We had a choice to ride camels back in the morning but our bodies were still too beat up from the night before to willingly choose that route, so instead we got to ride on the top of a 4 runner car. Yes on top of it, feet dangling over the side, holding on for dear life as we rollercoastered over the dunes. It was the craziest roller-coaster I have ever been on and by far the most memorable. Our driver then blasted some Moroccan music that sounded like what I assume their elevator music sounds like as he tore up the dunes, it was hilarious and terrifying and something that would never fly in the states. Liability? Safety precautions? ha
